This policy explains what dealradarsapp ("we", "us") collects, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the choices and rights you have. dealradarsapp is operated by dealradarsapp Inc., a company registered in Delaware, USA. If you have any questions, email privacy@dealradarsapp.com.
Information we collect
- Account details — your name and email address, used to create and secure your account. If you sign in with a third-party provider (e.g. Google), we receive your basic profile and email from that provider.
- Authentication data — passwords are handled by our identity provider and stored only in hashed, encrypted form. We never see or store your plain-text password.
- Tracked products — the product URLs and target prices you choose to monitor, plus the price readings we collect for them over time.
- Support messages — the name, email and message you send us through the contact form or by email.
- Usage & device data — basic, largely aggregated information such as pages viewed, approximate region, browser type and IP address, used to keep the service reliable and secure.
Cookies & analytics
We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies that are strictly necessary to run the service — for example, to keep you signed in. We may also use privacy-respecting, aggregated analytics to understand how the service is used and to improve it. We do not use advertising cookies and we do not allow third parties to track you across other websites for advertising. Where required by law, we will ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies, and you can control cookies through your browser settings.
Where price data comes from
dealradarsapp reads prices from publicly available retailer pages and the structured product data those retailers publish (for example, a store's own product feed). We collect this data to provide price history and discount verification. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of the retailers whose prices we display, and retailer names and trademarks belong to their respective owners.
How we use your information
- To provide price monitoring, discount verification, and target-price alerts.
- To create, secure, and support your account and respond to your messages.
- To send service communications (such as price alerts and important account or policy updates).
- To maintain, debug, and improve the accuracy, safety, and performance of the product.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
What we don't do
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your tracked products with third parties for advertising. We use service providers (for hosting, database, email delivery and authentication) only to operate dealradarsapp, and they are bound to handle data on our instructions.
Affiliate links
Some links to retailers may be affiliate links, meaning we could earn a small commission if you make a purchase, at no additional cost to you. This never affects a product's deal score — verdicts are calculated solely from observed price history. See our Terms of Service for the full affiliate disclosure.
Data retention
We keep account information for as long as your account is active. You can stop tracking any product at any time, which removes its associated price history. If you close your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain certain records to meet legal, security, or accounting obligations.
Security
We protect your information with encryption in transit, hashed credentials, access controls, and reputable infrastructure providers. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work continuously to safeguard your data and will notify you and the relevant authorities of a material breach as required by law.
Children & minors
dealradarsapp is intended for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact privacy@dealradarsapp.com and we will delete it.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, to opt out of certain processing, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
- U.S. state privacy rights — residents of California (CCPA/CPRA) and states such as Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, and Utah may request access to or deletion of their data and may opt out of any "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are commonly defined, but you may still exercise these rights.
- EU/UK rights — if applicable, you may exercise rights under the GDPR/UK GDPR, including the right to object and the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.
